Thetis Kitchen Grit Knife Sharpener Whetstone is a good self-sharpening stone, 1000/6000 two sides grit can save your time in the kitchen. You can use it to sharpen the high-grade kitchen knives, high-density knives, the Swiss army knife, folding knife, razor, haircut special tools etc. Non-slip Silicone Base and Bamboo Wooden Stand are safe for your use and Angle Guide for sharpening at a correct angle.
Using Instructions
Step 1: Soak the sharpening stone into the water for 10 minutes until bubbles no longer appear, then put it on a steady surface.
Step 2: Hold the knife at a 10 to 20-degree angle and grind the knife back and forth on the stone surface with less force. 1000 grit will be able to grind the sharpness of the average home kitchen knife, 6000 grit will be able to grind the sharpness of the sharp blade. We advise first use 1000 grit side, then 6000 grit.
Step 3: After grinding the tool, wipe it with a damp cloth or rinse it with water, then wipe it dry. Use a soft brush to clean the whetstone surface, put it in the ventilated place to dry.
All you need in one sharpening set
Every whetstone will eventually require flattening as unevenness forms. If you continue sharpening with a non-leveled stone, you will eventually damage either your knives, stone or both.
Since other sharpening sets don t include a flattening stone, you would have to buy one on your own. We have included one within our set so you have all you need from the beginning!
Last but not least, the angle guide will keep your fingers safely away from the blade while putting the edge at the optimal angle for sharpening.
