Through the use of cutting edge "Hot Fusion" technology, the exo-skeletal frame makes this boot both extremely supportive and highly functional. In addition, the hybrid lacing closure system provides secure, customized fit and relieves pressure at the top of the foot for maximized comfort.The 998ZWPCT Boot has all the great features of the 998ZWP, but further adds a composite toe to keep your feet safe from impact while on patrol or in other dangerous situations. The composite toe meets ASTM F2412-11 and F2413-11 standards for impact and compression and is EH rated. The composite toe is non-metallic, so it weighs less than a traditional steel toe and does not conduct heat or cold. This results in the protection you need but without the extra weight and discomfort you definitely don t need, especially when you re on the move.
The upper is made out of smooth, cowhide leather and Destination P nylon mesh. The TR Chrome features a compression molded EVA midsole and a double pour polyurethane cushioned insert. The rugged, long-wearing outsole is made of exclusive StreetNav is non-marking, oil and slip resistant rubber. The Aero-Spacer mesh lining wicks away moisture from your feet and makes this boot breathable as well. The side zip with molded security overlay makes for easy on and off. Low profile lace-lock hook and "Ghilly" style lacing system provides a secured and customized fit. The StreetNav outsole has a unique cleat and lug design for superior traction in multiple environments.
This boot also features a waterproof and bloodborne pathogen proof membrane, so not only will it keep you dry it will also help protect you from infection. An especially good feature for EMS workers and other first responders.
