Can I use the Motorcycle mount on my bicycle?
YES. Our motorcycle mount fits almost any bar and it works great on bicycles. It quickly Mounts to any handle bar or bar that is 7/8" to 1-1/4" (22.2mm - 31.75mm). Easily transfer to different bikes or motorcycles in minutes.What type of phones does the Motorcycle mount work with?
We offer complete packaged kits for the following phones, iPhone 4/4s, 5/5s, SE, 6/6s, 6/6s Plus, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Galaxy S3, S4, S5, S6, S7 and S7 edge. Will the magnet hurt my phone?
NO. Manufacturers have been using magnets in phones and tablets for years. Our specially designed rare earth magnets are proven safe for all smartphones and tablets. In a product overview from MacWorld they said "magnet based accessories are safe to use on iPads and pose no threat of scrambling interior electronics.” Our magnets will not harm your credit cards, or affect Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS or Apple pay. Magnets will only affect spinning hard drives found in old laptop and desktop computers. With the magnet installed it may also affect wireless charging and electronic stylus operation. The magnet also may affect a hotel key but then again what doesn t? Bottom line, our magnets are safe but don’t set your phone on your old computer or your hotel key ;-)
Will the mount scratch the back of my phone?
No. The mount locks inside the case but never touches the phone.
How easily is the case removed?
Very easy. The kit is supplied with a rugged case designed for everyday protective use. Removal and installation is easily done within seconds. .
What is the purpose of the magnet?
The magnet acts as another safety feature and equally important it virtually eliminates all vibration so you can clearly see your phone while riding. No rattling, blurring or twisting like most mounts.
Does the case protect my phone and will it work when it’s not on the mount?
Yes. All of our mountable cases are extremely protective and are keeping phones safe everyday all over the world; plus the case included in the bike mount kit is our most popular everyday shock proof case.
Will the mount work with my existing case or cover?
Yes. The mount will work with any Rokform mountable case that has our Twist lock on the back. If you have another brand of case or no case at all you can still use our mount, you will just need the kit that includes the universal adapter.
Does the Motorcycle mount include the leash (lanyard)?
Yes. All of our Motorcycle mount kits include a quick release heavy duty lanyard that acts as a third layer of security for your phone. Plenty of our customers use and love it on an off the bike. Wrap it around your arm or wrist and prevent accidental drops.
Is it waterproof?
We include a water resistant skin on iPhone 6/6s and 6/6s Plus bike mounts although it really is not a required accessory. We have not had one report of anyone damaging their phone using our mount in the rain with or without a waterproof / resistant skin or cover. Our skin does give your phone full operation unlike some other poncho or rain covers that virtually render the phone useless making you wonder why even have it. Rain is not submersion so why sacrifice the usefulness of your phone when you don’t have to? We ride, worry free rain or shine with no cover or skin at all and have never damaged a phone. Since 2011 nobody to our knowledge has experienced any water damage to their phone using our mount and that includes our team that rides daily rain or shine.
