Brand: riorand; this is a high quality premium generic purple sponge style washable primary pre motor filter assembly which is designed to fit oem part number 917066-02. This filter is located directly between the dust Bin assembly and the motor assembly, this filter is recommended to be washed at least Once every 30 days, and replaced after 6-8 washings to ensure peak performance of your dyson hand vacuum and stick vacuum. This filter protects any large debris from entering the motor, and gets clogged with fine dust and other particles which over time clog the filter, causing the motor to work harder, and run hotter. Many prefer to have two filters on hand, one to use while the other is drying, always having a dry clean filter to use. To wash the filter, simply remove the dust Bin, pry the filter out, and wash under warm water until clean. Allow the filter to completely air dry before reusing to prevent damage to the motor. Some prefer to purchase two filters to always have a clean, dry filter on hand. Fits dyson cordless hand vacuum models; DC31, DC31 animal, DC34 cordless hand vacuum, and the new dyson DC35 digital slim models; DC35 multi floor, DC35 animal, DC35 exclusive, as well as the new dyson DC44 animal.
