And, of course, shipping them out to get sharpened is expensive and inconvenient. We at Tormek developed this planer / jointer blade sharpener to meet this exact need – to sharpen those longer blades with perfect precision. Use it with our Tormek sharpening systems to get the results you want. Included with this well-made jig are a support, a blade holder, and a hex key for precise adjustments up to 1/10 of a millimeter. This allows you to adjust the edge angle and grinding depth to extremely-tool-friendly angles, giving you a sharp edge while also prolonging blade life. It fits your Tormek water cooled sharpening system, and is a must if you have a planer/jointer and longer blades.

Sharpen planer and jointer blades with ease using the SVH-320 planer/jointer blade jig from Tormek. Designed to fit Tormek tool-sharpening systems, the SVH-320 planer/jointer blade jig makes it easy to sharpen high speed steel planer and jointer blades as well as miter guillotine blades. The jig guides the blade precisely and grinds it flat along its entire length to a pre-set, fixed depth.

Allows You to Sharpen Longer Blades
The SVH-320 jig can accommodate blades of any length but that are at least 1/2 inch wide. To sharpen blades longer than 10-1/2 inches, simply relocate them in the blade holder and grind them in steps.

Adjust the Edge Angle and Grinding Depth
Using this jig, you can adjust the edge angle with the simple turn of a knob and set the grinding depth to within 1/10 of a millimeter for precise results.
