Product Detail
Premium Organic Japanese Kukicha Loose Leaf Green TeaA twig tea made mainly from selected stems and stalks of the green tea plant which are steamed and roasted before blending. A light green color in the cup with a touch of sweetness and low bitterness. It has a unique taste among green teas; a slight nutty flavour with hints of honey and citrus. Great after a heavy meal or later in the evening. A popular tea for detoxification and a macrobiotic die. Low in caffeine.
Small batches are shipped from the manufacturer weekly to ensure long shelf-life. This tea has also been vacuum-sealed immediately after being processed to seal in the freshness. Teas from Ocha & Co. were selected to represent Japan at the 2015 Speciality & Fine Food Fair at Olympia in London and a Sencha from the plantation won first prize Japan`s top tea competiton in 2016
