Legendary Syrian Castile soap made by Aleppian artisans using a centuries-old family recipe. Made with local olive and laurel bay tree fruits of Southeastern Turkey, this bar aged nine months in the open air to harden (during this time outside of the soap turns pale gold while inside remains green, creating Aleppo Soap s trademark dual color). The soap is so pure in its form that it only contains four main ingredients. Olive oil, laurel bay oil, sodium hydroxide, and water. It has no preservatives, chemical additives or fragrances. Containing natural antiseptic laurel bay oil Aleppo soap is famous for being a natural cleansing agent for skin diseases such as eczema, dry or irritated skin. Aleppo Soap disinfects skin without over-drying or causing irritation. It is a much safer option than the commercial anti-bacterial soaps which contain antibiotics, and long-term use can lead to antibiotic-resistant bacteria and various health problems. Finally, longer drying time and quality of its ingredients make Aleppo Soap last much longer than regular soap. The origin of Aleppo Soap is lost in time.
